Gwinnett County and all 16 Gwinnett Cities Issue Stay at Home Orders

A Message from the Buford City Commission
The greatest duty of any government is to protect the health and safety of its citizens.  We want our citizens to Stay Home and Stay Alive.  Over the last several days, the Buford City Commission has been on calls with leading healthcare professionals providing advice in hopes of flattening the curve of new COVID-19 cases and lessening the demand on our hospitals and providers and slowing community spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.  At the same time, we are very mindful of our wonderful business community and the people they employ and the families they support.  With that said the Buford City Commission has joined with Gwinnett County and its Cities and adopted a State of Emergency calling for Shelter in Place and Stay at Home.  It is essential that you follow the guidelines set forth in the Order.  When you are conducting essential business, practice social distancing of at least 6 feet separation at all times.  This includes all situations outside of your home such as the grocery store, pharmacy, gas station and other businesses providing essential services.  Buford has an incredible community spirit, and we are sure that everyone will follow these guidelines safeguarding ourselves, kids, parents and elderly in our community.
